..our second Baby Boy!

As promised,
I just want to share some pictures and the birth story of Muhammad Danish Yusuf.
My second labor experience was slightly different from the first one. This time around, as early as 37 weeks my Braxton Hicks dah makin kerap terasa and my baby bump cepat drop ke bawah. Semua orang pun tegur everytime nampak my baby bump.
But according to Doctor Seri, it is normal for second baby.
"alaa, it is normal. Bila second baby ni, semua dah loose, bukan macam first one dulu. ibarat kereta second hand .. ";P
But, the problem was..bila perut cepat drop ke bawah, i felt uneasy, tak selesa, sakit sangat bila rasa contractions and bila baby's position senget sebelah, terasa perut tersepit!
By 38 weeks, I cannot drive my car anymore.
Nak ke situ sini, urusan business or going to GLAM semua bergantung pada husband as my personal driver.
By 39 weeks, dah terasa tak tahan contractions makin kerap and sakit. Perut asik 'mengeras' and I can feel that the baby makin push nak turun ke bawah. Sebabkan tak larat nak bawa diri dah, so I kept on thinking about getting an induction. But of course, macam-macam bermain di fikiran. Risau if anything might go wrong, and end up getting Caesarean pulak kan! Itu paling menakutkan, for me.
I had my last weekly check up at Prince Court Medical Center (PCMC), on January 8th 2014. Dr Seri already aware that I'm considering for induction this time. So, after 'seluk-seluk' sikit down there..
Dr Seri said "Ok, bolehlah. Your pintu rahim dah lembut and you are ready now. So, bila you nak beranak? Nak masuk ward malam ni boleh, esok pun boleh. Friday is a good day nak bersalin ;)"
Then, we decided to be
warded on thursday night, January 9th.
Soon as 'checked in' terus pakai 'uniform' and pakai tag!
then, nurse came in untuk 'cucuk' ini jarum super largeeee!!
dah lama tak kena cucuk memang seriau jugak la kan.
On our way to PCMC, my last request was to eat my favorite chicken honey chipotle! So sempat ke KLCC, bungkus our dinner and siap minum Boost, very berry bang! towards the end of my pregnancy memang asyik craving for ice, ABC, slurpee je ok ;)
Done eating my dinner, sempat solat isyak, solat hajat, and baca yasin malam jumaat. Alhamdulillah.
Malam tu, nurse came in to pasangkan CTG machine to monitor heart beat and contractions. Since my contractions memang dah rapat-rapat, so she decided to just wait until morning baru masukkan ubat. So, I tried to sleep selama mungkin so that ada energy nak meneran esok harinya.
January 10th..
around 8.30 am macam tu, Doctor Seri came in to check on me. Bila check, i was only 1cm dilated and katanya "why your baby kat atas sangat lagi ni? This doesn't look good. You go sheeshee first, dah penuh jugak ni"
Masa tu, Allah sahaja yang tahu..risaunya if we cannot proceed the labor that day. So doa and tawakkal.
After sheeshee..baring balik on the bed and Dr Seri 'seluk' again down there to check and she said "it's getting better now, but i need betulkan position pintu rahim you ni sikit.." and sambil tu dia dah seluk dan seluk and it was really painful!!!
Then, dah jumpa the right spot or what..Dr Seri terus ambil alat pencucuk untuk pecahkan my waterbag.
GEDEBUSHHH….mengalir air keluar and Dr Seri kept pushing her hand inside me untuk keluarkan sebanyak mungkin air ketuban.
"look at this..banyaknya air you ni..haa, mesti banyak minum ais ni masa pregnant. That is why your baby sedap duduk lagi ni, banyak sangat air lagi. and baby tak turun ke bawah."
So, pengajaran kat sini, say NO to ICE bila pregnant. Nanti air banyak sangat, baby susah nak turun ke bawah during labor.
Soon as the waterbag pecah and air dah banjir satu katil,
contractions getting harder and unbearable!
Tukar baju yang dah lencun, then terus nurse hantar ke labor room. Nak baring pun tak boleh dah masa tu, I was waiting for my Epidural, my savior!
Soon as epidural dah masuk, baru masuk ubat to induce labor. That's how I can handle the pain. So tunggu dilate until 10cm pula now. Siap having lunch juga lagi. Of course I need the energy nak meneran nanti, sebab masa first baby dulu dah kelaparan and takde energy nak meneran.
While waiting and melayan contractions, hubby pasangkan dekat phone..bacaan Surah Maryam non stop to keep me calm. And of course bibir ni tak lepas dari zikir and selawat.
Bila kita di katil labor room, ibarat nyawa di hujung tanduk.
Around 2.15pm,
Dr Seri came in to check my dilation.
"ok, baru 7cm. but your baby's position a bit high lagi ni. kenapa ni cik abang kita ni taknak turun lagi ni? "
Then, she checked on my baby bump..and rasanya baby duduk tak betul. So, she asked me to change my position from baring on my left side to the right side.
1 minute after…
suddenly I can feel the labor pain at the lower part, and of course I still remember the exact same pain during my first labor before. Rasa macam nak terkeluar, rasa macam nak buang air besar tu.
I told hubby and asked him to call for the nurse.
But bila tanya, nurse cakap.."it's ok, tadi kita baru check 7cm. tunggu kejap maybe sampai 2.45pm kalau tak tahan sakit kita increase dose epidural."
Me and hubby pun tunggu la kan. my contractions getting harder and stronger, and at 2.30pm I think during the peak of my contraction, I felt something 'popping out' from me then masuk balik bila contraction reda.
"Bee, i think it's the head of our baby laaaa!!"
2 times boleh rasa macam tu and the 3rd time dah jerit panggil nurse to check and I asked her to call for Dr Seri immediately. I know, the baby's already out!
The nurse boleh nak check dulu tengok before calling Dr Seri. But soon as i buka kaki sikit and asked hubby to have a look, "yer laa, i dah nampak kepala baby kita!"
Nurse terus menggelabah and called Dr Seri.
In few minutes, i just kept on breathing to control my contractions and takut ter'push' too early before the Doctor is ready.
Soon as Dr Seri kelam kabut bersiap pakai uniform dia, then the baby's head keluar before I can even push pun. Tinggal nak keluar bahu, i tried to control my push..not too hard becuase my contaction yang kuat dah sangat membantu tolak baby.
Alhamdulillah,
it was so smooth and tak memerlukan tenaga untuk teran.
2.50pm,
here comes our champion..our little hero!
Keluar jer terus nangis dengan kuatnya..
Selamat Datang sayang.."Assalamualaikum"
Hilang rasa sakit sekejap, when I look at you and hold you..
" i Love you baby "
First feeding session!
He did great with his first latch..well done baby danish yusuf.
Done with first feeding session, they took the baby to nursery for detail check up with Pediatrician.
Settle semua urusan and rest sekejap inside the labor room,
then petang tu baru nurse pindahkan to our new room with the KLCC view. Abang Danial sentiasa excited nak tengok KLCC at night.
Daddy went down for some hot chocolate from Coffee Bean for mommy and came back with this…
flowers for mommy and little rhyno for baby danish yusuf.

Around 6pm, my mom came with Makyah and Ayahji and of course Abang Danial too. He was excited to meet his adik at first, lepas tu nampak sedikit jealous. hehe..biasa la kan.
My precious boys.. From 2, now 3!
Mommy jer belum ada gang lagi ni. So, we need a girl for the 3rd baby ok daddy.
Later that night,
mama, makteh, ayin, our nieces and nephew also came. Riuh rendah kejap dalam room. And our first night with baby Danish was a bit tough too. Both mommy and Daddy dah kepenatan, sleepy and baby siap bangun berulang kali, nak feed and also poop.
"goodbye to our beauty sleep and hello to zombie mode"
This is what we call parenthood.. hehe.
It is not an easy job, but it is totally worth it.
